Anegang

Centuries ago, the Anegang was the entrance to a church and a Carmelite monastery (founded by a knight from Haarlem), today this street has shops showcasing the latest fashion trends and more. The intimate buildings with monumental bell, corniced and stepped gables house the most beautiful fashion brands in all imaginable styles.

Schagchelstraat

The Schagchelstraat is one of the most artisanal and artistic streets in Haarlem. In addition to great fashion stores, you will also find a violin maker, coffee roasting house, piercing studio, several jewellery stores and art galleries.

Kleine Houtstraat

The Kleine Houtstraat has twice been awarded the title of ‘Best Shopping Street in the Netherlands’. And for good reason, because it has the most amazing boutiques, special concept stores and a number of intimate eateries.

Gierstraat

From children’s books to spelt bagels, from classic CDs, coffee beans or sneakers to “Haarlemmer oil”, the Gierstraat is full of surprises. It is almost impossible to imagine that in the past, a tram used to run through this narrow street. But it did! The Gierstraat is also home to perhaps the oldest store in Haarlem: Drugstore A.J. Van der Pigge, recognisable by its characteristic shop front and authentic interior. There are also stores focused on spirituality, cooking, children’s books, jewellery, classical music and more.
